About Shanghai Tower
Shanghai Tower is the tallest building in China and the second-tallest in the world at 632 meters. Completed in 2015, its twisting glass facade spirals 128 floors into the sky, designed to reduce wind loads by 24%. The tower is part of the Lujiazui financial district in Pudong, alongside the Jin Mao Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center.
The observation deck on the 118th floor (546 meters) offers 360-degree views of Shanghai's vast urban landscape. On clear days, you can see for over 100 kilometers in every direction — the Huangpu River winding through the city, the Bund's historic buildings, and endless skyscrapers stretching to the horizon. The world's fastest elevators (20.5 meters per second) reach the top in just 55 seconds.
