About Wuhou Shrine
Wuhou Shrine is dedicated to Zhuge Liang (Kongming), the brilliant strategist of the Shu Han kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD), and Liu Bei, the kingdom's founder. Built in 223 AD, the shrine has been a place of pilgrimage for fans of this pivotal era in Chinese history for over 1,700 years.
The shrine complex includes traditional halls with statues of Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, and other Three Kingdoms figures, as well as inscriptions, steles, and historical artifacts. The surrounding park features ancient trees, peaceful courtyards, and the famous Red Wall Path — a corridor of red walls and bamboo that has become a popular photography spot.
