About Jinli Ancient Street
Jinli Ancient Street is a reconstructed pedestrian street designed to evoke the atmosphere of ancient Chengdu during the Qin and Han dynasties. The street is lined with traditional Sichuan architecture — wooden buildings with upturned eaves, red lanterns, and ornate decorations — creating a visually stunning environment, especially after dark when everything is illuminated.
Today, the street is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, filled with shops selling Sichuan crafts, tea houses, and restaurants serving local specialties. Street food vendors offer Chengdu's famous snacks — spicy noodles, dumplings, and skewers. The street also features traditional performances, including face-changing opera and tea ceremony demonstrations. It's adjacent to Wuhou Shrine, making it easy to visit both in one outing.
